Found: world’s unluckiest traveler
The world’s unluckiest traveler has been named. He is Dr. Gary Feldman of Ventura, Calif., who has won a US$10,000 “Dream Vacation.”
How did he quality for the promotional award from Travel Guard North America?
“While sightseeing just days into his month-long trip, Feldman stepped to the edge of a cliff to answer nature’s call but he slipped before he could zip. Feldman fell 30 feet, breaking both of his legs,” said the site.
Ten screws, two surgeries and a metal plate later, he was given the award over stiff competition from dozens of other horror stories.
“We hope the dream vacation will help Dr. Feldman make up for some of his past bad luck, especially since he travels often to help others,” said Dean Sivley, CEO of Travel Guard North America.
Showing there’s no shortage of bad luck on trips, the company had more than 800 entrants with tales of woe.
