Four dead in duck boat crash
Four people have died after a tourist duck boat crashed with a bus in Seattle.
The ‘Ride the Ducks’ vehicle, a popular tourist ride which operates on land and water in cities around the world, smashed into the side of the bus on a bridge.
The four victims were foreign students from North Seattle College who were travelling on the bus.
According to local reports, 51 people were taken to hospitals, 12 with critical injuries.
The incident, which happened at 11am local time, also involved two smaller vehicles.
Seattle Mayor Ed Murray described it as a ‘terrible tragedy’.
He said the duck boat operator had voluntarily suspended trips.
