Four Ryanair flights hit by lightning
Four Ryanair aircraft were struck by lightning as they landed at an airport in northern Spain, the carrier has said.
Three landed normally at Santander on Sunday with the fourth being diverted to Valladolid.
After an inspection of the aircraft two flights, to Rome and Stansted, were cancelled while a third flight, to Frankfurt Hahn, was delayed for six hours.
Ryanair said delayed passengers were “re-accommodated” on two other flights on Sunday.
