Four UK airports reportedly up for sale
The ownership of several UK airports could be about to change hands.
According to Reuters, the majority owner of Edinburgh airport is actively looking to sell.
Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP) is looking to offload its majority stake, according to several sources.
That would value the airport at about €2.5 billion.
It could see a new owner by 2024.
There is no confirmation on whether GIP is in talks with a specific buyer.
Separately, Aberdeen, Glasgow, and Southampton airports could also be sold, Reuters says.
The three airports are operated by AGS Airports which is jointly owned by Macquarie and Ferrovial.
The firms may also be looking to offload their stakes, per Reuters sources.
Ferrovial this week announced it is selling its 25% stake in London Heathrow airport.
