Fred Olsen matches Carnival UK’s 45% discounts for ’05 cruises
Fred Olsen Cruise Lines has followed Carnival UK by offering early booking discounts of up to 45% for summer 2005.
The line’s 2005 preview brochure covers sailings from Southampton. Dover, Leith and Greenock on its three ships, Black Watch, Black Prince and Braemar.
Destinations include the Mediterranean, Canaries, Baltic, Scandinavia, Black Sea and Canada with cruises ranging from seven night itineraries to a 27-night voyage. Early booking discounts range between 30% and 45%.
Longer duration cruises include a 21-night itineraries on Black Watch to Canada departing on 5 September 2005, timed to view the autumn colours. The trip includes the Saguenay River and Sangeunay Fjord. Ports include St John’s, Newfoundland, an overnight stay in Quebec, as well as Sydney and Halifax in Nova Scotia. Prices start at £2,200 with a 40% early booking discount.
Black Watch’s longest cruise departs Southampton on 26 September next year for the eastern Mediterranean and Black Sea. This 27-night itinerary covers Istanbul Odessa and Yalta in the Ukraine, and Piraeus. Prices start at £2,733 with a 40% early booking discount.
Prices lead-in at £660 with a 35% discount for a Norwegian fjords cruise from Leith in Scotland on 31 May, 2005.
Braemar’s summer season starts with a 14-night western Mediterranean cruise departing from Dover on 26 April, costing £1,092 with a early 45% discount.
