French protestors disrupt travel services

Passengers travelling into France today can expect disruption with widespread strikes affecting flights and train services.
French unions have urged public sector workers onto the streets to protest against President Sarkozy’s pension reforms and raising of the official retirement age.
It is expected that travellers on TGV trains and metro lines will experience problems and the French Civil Aviation Authority has asked airlines to cut services in and out of Paris Orly airport by half and Charles de Gaulle by 40%.
