Gage to take early retirement from Advantage
Advantage Travel Centres director of business travel Norman Gage is to take early retirement at the end of October.
Gage has worked in business travel for over 40 years, 15 of which he spent at Advantage where he was instrumental in forming the successful Focus Partnership and, most recently, introduced a business consultancy service for Advantage corporate travel members, which he plans to continue on a part-time basis.
In 2009, he won the David Brown Outstanding Achievement Award.
“I have had a fantastic career and met lots of exciting and interesting people," said Gage. "But I am looking forward to having more time to spend with my family, especially my grandchildren, as well as football coaching, gardening on the allotment and enjoying my extensive collection of books.”
Chief executive Advantage Travel Centres John McEwan said: “I’d like to thank Norman for all his enthusiasm over the years, he will be greatly missed by his colleagues and friends in the industry and we wish him all the very best.”
