Gai Tyrell throws in the towel

Sunday, 22 Mar, 2007 0

Michael Reed, CEO of Jetset TravelWorld has announced that he has today accepted Gai Tyrrell’s resignation from the Jetset Travelworld Group after nearly three years with the company.

Michael told staff, “Gai has advised me that she would like to spend more quality time with her family and we have agreed that Friday 23 March will be her last day with us and while a difficult decision, it is one I fully respect.”

He added, “Gai brought vast experience to the Group and has contributed significantly to the business in achieving its goals, however in mixing a demanding business career with family responsibilities, the challenges are often great and I admire Gai for the decision she has taken,” adding, “I’m sure her family will appreciate this opportunity.”

He also said that I have no doubt that in time Gai will again play a part in this industry she is so passionate about and on behalf of the entire team I wish her every success in her future endeavours.
