Galileo adds two low-cost airlines to GDS
Galileo International is adding the fares and inventory of Asian low-cost airlines, Jetstar Asia and Valuair, to the Galileo GDS.
Content for both Jetstar Asia and Valuair will be distributed via Galileo’s Basic Booking Product (BBP) giving them access to a network of agents across Asia Pacific and worldwide.
The carriers join sister company Jetstar Airways, the Australian-based low cost carrier, which has been distributing its content via Galileo since 2004.
Brad Holman, Travelport Airline Services MD, said: “These announcements follow an earlier agreement between Jetstar Asia and Travelport subsidiary Octopustravel.com to provide hotel and land content for the low cost carrier’s web site.”
Jetstar Asia and Valuair join over 50 other low-cost Carriers around the world using the Galileo GDS as a distribution channel.
