Galileo Leisure adds sightseeing search tool

Sunday, 07 Sep, 2006 0

Agents are being offered the ability to sell more pre-bookable excursions through the Galileo Leisure website.

A sightseeing search tool has been added covering more than 5,000 pre-bookable options in 403 locations across 82 countries.

Up to 39 sightseeing categories have been created on a drop-down menu on the www.galileoleisure.com site, including Arts & Culture and Restaurants & Bars.

Sightseeing vouchers booked from the site are bilingual – on both English and the language of the booking – to make it straightforward for customers to understand any instructions they need to follow once in their destination, according to the company.

Bookings are integrated into a single booking file (PNR) giving a claimed saving on back-office time for Galileo connect agents.

Alison Bell, leisure channel vice-president for parent company Travelport, said: “It’s now easier than ever to both enhance customer service as well as earn more commission by adding a relevant sightseeing activity to a holiday booking.”
