Galileo signs up global shipping support firm
Galileo has signed a long-term agreement with V.Ships Travel, a provider of support services to the global shipping, energy and defence industries.
V.Ships Travel will receive full travel distribution support and services offered by the GDS business.
The company provides 24-hour service, seven days a week, from its headquarters in Monaco and hubs in Glasgow, Mumbai, Cyprus and Manila.
John Harding, operations director at V.Ships, said: “We are responsible for moving more than 65,000 people around the world each year, invariably with very short notice and often to remote locations.
“Our new co-operation with Galileo will help us to do this more effectively by standardising and innovating processes and enabling closer real-time co-ordination between our travel offices.
“Our aim is service excellence, a key part of which is ensuring that crew members are where they need to be when our customers need them.”
