Galileo stand notably missing from exhibition
Galileo did not have a stand at the Business Travel Show at Earls Court, London, for the first time.
It was the only global distribution company that did not have an exhibition stand at the event.
But country manager UK Patrick Lukan claimed that in terms of “people”, it had a bigger presence at the show than ever before.
“People are talking about the fact that we don’t have a stand here, but we’ve got more people here than ever before. We have made lots of appointments in advance and are meeting with corporate clients and press, and it’s been a great success,” he said.
He said it was too early to say if the company would make the same decision next year.
American Express was another major player in the business travel industry which did not have an exhibition stand. The travel management company has not exhibited at the Business Travel Show since 2005.
