Gatwick to get direct flight to Turkish capital
Turkish Airlines is to launch the only direct flight from Gatwick to the Turkish capital Ankara next January.
Flights will operate twice weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays from January 9.
Turkish Airlines’ London GM Celal Baykal said: "We’ve introduced this new Turkish Airlines route in direct response to the rise in passengers looking to travel to this destination.
"This is the first time we have operated a direct flight out of London Gatwick to Ankara and see this as part of our continued growth plans."
The airline also flies from Heathrow, Edinburgh, Birmingham and Manchester.
