Gaylord Opryland shosen as one of top US group destinations
Gaylord Opryland Resort and the Grand Ole Opry came in second place in the nation on the list of top man-made attractions to visit by motorcoach on the new annual Top 10 rankings issued by the National Motorcoach Network. Disney World was ranked in first place and Washington D.C. was ranked third. The city of Nashville is ranked as the fourth best destination in the nation by the same organization.
The annual rankings are compiled from surveys of member operators indicating where they plan to travel in the coming year. About 725 motorcoach groups visited Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in 2006, from as far away as Seattle. As many as 500 motorcoaches brought group travelers for the resort’s world-famous A Country Christmas festivities last year.

Reviews are based on four categories: accommodations, amenities, meeting facilities and services, along with food and beverage offerings. This is the twenty-third straight year Gaylord Opryland has received this honor.
