Genting appoints Kent Zhu as cruise president

Genting Hong Kong has named hospitality industry veteran Kent Zhu as president of Genting Cruise Lines.
 
Zhu joins Genting in May from Wanda Hotels and Resorts where he was EVP, and comes with more than 30 years of international hospitality experience.
 
He also worked at luxury hotel group Shangri-La.
 
"With his experience in China, Kent will immediately focus on developing a nationwide distribution network in China with strong travel partners to fill our cruise ships in Asia and elsewhere,’ said Hui Lim, executive director, Genting Group.
 
Genting cruise brands include luxury operator Crystal Cruises and Asia based Star Cruises and Dream Cruises.
 
It also owns German shipbuilder MV Werften.
 
Genting Hong Kong also named long-time executive Colin Au as new group president.
 
Au has been with Genting Group for 38 years and will focus mostly on strengthening the cruise business
