Germanwings names marketing director
Germanwings has appointed Thomas Labonde as marketing director.
He was previously a sales team leader at Lufthansa subsidiary Worldshop and will start his new role at Germanwings on September 1, reporting directly to Gregor Schlueter, senior vice president of marketing and sales.
Schlueter said: “Mr Labonde will be involved with completing the restructuring of the Germanwings marketing and sales range.”
The appointment came as the low-cost airline reported its June passenger figures were 719,900 – 14.3% up on June 2006.
Seat load factor for the month was 81.6%, a drop of 1.8% on the year before.
Spokesman for the Board of Germanwings, Thomas Winkelmann, said load factors were a “very good level, particularly as we now have an expanded fleet and a larger network of routes network”.
