Glenn McGrath to be the face of NSW camping supershow
Legendary Australian fast bowler, keen outdoorsman and dedicated family man Glenn McGrath, will be the face of the NSW Tourism Award winning NSW Caravan, Camping, 4WD and Holiday Supershow in 2007. A country boy from Narromine, McGrath will promote the caravan and camping Supershow through a series of marketing activities leading up to the highly anticipated 2007 NSW Supershow in April (14th to 22nd).
Transforming Rosehill Racecourse into an array of products and tourism displays, the 2007 Supershow will be held from 14 – 22 April 2007 and showcase the latest and greatest from the caravan and camping and 4WD industry. Attracting over 85,000 annually, the Supershow is hailed as the best leisure show in NSW with over 400 exhibitors displaying caravans, motorhomes, camper-trailers, tents, caravan, camping and 4WD vehicles and accessories, holiday destinations and more.
In addition, the Supershow acts as a forum for tourism operators and holiday parks to promote regional tourism. The NSW Caravan, Camping, 4WD and Holiday Supershow was recognized for its commitment to promotion of regional tourism and support of the community, at the 2006 NSW Tourism Awards where it received the award in the Significant Events and Festivals category.
Among club team mates, McGrath is affectionately referred to as “Millard” for his early years living in a Millard caravan in a caravan park South of Sydney. Millard Australia is one the first caravan manufacturers in New South Wales and is regarded as one of the most iconic brands of the Australian caravan industry. McGrath fondly remembers his humble caravan park beginnings which catapulted his cricket career, making him one of Australia’s most admirable sportsmen.
“Now that I’m retiring from international cricket after the 2007 World Cup, I plan to spend more time with Jane and the kids and maybe even take them on a caravan holiday somewhere in Australia.”
The NSW Caravan, Camping, 4WD and Holiday Supershow will be open from 10am to 5pm daily with free parking for all visitors. Admission costs are $17 for adults, $11 for seniors and pensioners. Children under 16 years are admitted FREE when accompanied by an adult. For further information please visit http://www.supershow.com.au/.
