Global travel company gives donation to Christchurch quake fund
US-based travel group, The Travel Corporation, has made a donation of $50,000 to the Christchurch earthquake relief fund recently set up by the New Zealand government.
Global CEO Brett Tollman said: “Our New Zealand companies all have very strong links to the city and the surrounding districts, with longstanding relationships with the many agencies down there who have supported us so well over the years, and also with the many suppliers who have looked after our clients so well on our inbound touring programs for AAT Kings, Trafalgar and Contiki.â€
Richard Launder, president of The Travel Corporation USA and a native New Zealander, added: “The people in Christchurch will need all the help they can get as they endeavor to cope with the immediate aftermath of the earthquake and then start to rebuild the city and get their lives back to some semblance of normality over the months to come.
