Globus guests will require vaccination or negative test

Globus will require all customers to obtain proof of Covid-19 vaccination, a negative test result or virus immunity to join tours, cruises or package vacations.

It applies to all customers of Globus, Cosmos, Avalon Waterways and Monograms for travel in North America and overseas.

Vaccinations must be at least 14 days before travel, and Covid tests must be NAAT/PCR or antigen taken within 72-hours of travel, the company said.

"We have continued to enhance on-trip safety standards throughout the pandemic to ensure we’re ready to welcome guests back to travel when the world is ready," said Scott Nisbet, CEO of the Globus family of brands.

The new requirements will take effect in April.

Globus said it will cover additional Covid-19 testing for longer trips if required and if a customer displays any symptoms during a vacation.

In addition it is offering ‘risk-free bookings’ with its Peace of Mind Travel Plan, allowing ‘flexibility to move to any other 2021 or 2022 date, destination, itinerary or even, another brand without penalty.’
