Goa to get hot air ballooning, amphibious bus tours
Goa will soon have two new adventurous options for visitors looking to tour the state.
Two Indian tour companies have been chosen by Goa Tourism Development Corp (GTDC) to provide hot air ballooning and amphibious bus tours.
Delhi-based travel company Camping Retreats will provide hot air balloon rides while Goa-based D’Souza Leisure will operate water bus rides
"Goa Tourism will be focusing on enriching the tourism experience of visitors to Goa through the medium of adventure and allied activities," Goa’s Tourism Minister, Shri Dilip Parulekar said.
Chairman of the GTDC, Shri Nilesh Cabral, said: "both adventure services will focus on highlighting Goa’s hinterlands and will give tourists an opportunity to explore the rich geography of the state via the sky and the waterways."
Balloon rides will take aerial tours over the Dudhsagar Waterfalls, while six amphibious vehicles will travel on Goa’ inland waterways, each with a capacity of up to 34 passengers.
Both are designed to diversify Goa’s tourism offerings and help to disperse tourists away from the beaches, said Cabral.
