Gold Medal and Travel 2 announce appointments and promotions
Gold Medal and Travel 2 have boosted their account and product teams with two promotions and two external hires.
Colin Currie, the former key account manager for Scotland, Ireland and the Isle of Man, has been promoted to the newly-created role of senior key account manager.
Currie, who has been with the company for eight years, now oversees a select portfolio of larger national accounts.
Taking over his role is Koral Lipton, who has worked for the long-haul operators across a variety of reservation, tours and cruise-related sales positions since joining in August 2008.
Based in Glasgow, she will spend most of her week on the road, meeting agents from John O’Groats and across to the Isle of Man and Northern Ireland.
In cruise team, meanwhile, Nicola Payne joins as product and commercial manager.
She previously worked for Stewart Travel, part of the Minoan Group, and specialised in cruise product development for nearly six years.
Finally, Tricia Birmingham joins the product management team as the new senior product manager covering the Middle East, Indian Ocean and Africa team. She was previously with Shearings.
