Good Samaritans rewarded by Korea Tourism
One good deed deserves another.
An upstate New York couple have been rewarded after helping a group of stranded Korean tourists.
Alexander and Andrea Campagna of Buffalo NY took in a group of Korean tourists who were stranded in a snowstorm in December.
The tourists had travelled to visit Niagara Falls.
The Korea Tourism Organization has now rewarded them with a free trip to South Korea.
They will travel to Korea in May for a week long trip.
The Campagnas hosted them for three days until the blizzard subsided.
They then all spent Christmas together.
It was widely reported in the media and the couple were awarded a public service medal by New York Governor Kathy Hochul.
.
“This invitation is a token of our appreciation,” said Park Jae-seok, Korea Tourism Organization New York manager.
“We hope this shows the world that Korea returns the favors it receives.”
