Google testing travel search engine
Google is testing a travel search and comparison shopping feature which is similar to Travelzoo’s model.
Consumers are directed to individual advertiser’s flight search engine instead of the concurrent multi airline and online travel site price comparison model like Yahoo FareChase, SideStep or Kayak.com.
The user interface incorporates the standard Google search box. Users enter to/from airport codes or cities into search box. Current search results include advertisers Expedia.com, Hotwire, and Orbitz.
