Govoka says Fiji $1bn target still achievable
Over the weekend on Fijilive, Fiji Vistors Bureau CEO Viliame Gavoka said that the Fiji Visitor’s Bureau remained hopeful that the tourism industry can achieve its $1 billon target next year despite the current crisis.
He said, that stakeholders need to work together, adding, “We put in $1.2 million to try and find a quick start program to revive the industry”.
He said much focus was on the New Zealand and Australia markets and much of their efforts would be directed there.
Gavoka said the FVB would do its best to attract as many visitors as it can before the peak season starts at June and July.
