Gray Line adds new tours
Gray Line of Alaska has added new optional land tours for 2008.
“The new tours appeal to a broad range of interests from fly-fishing and flight seeing to bear viewing and hiking. Tours are single- or multi-day,†according to Gray Line.
In Fairbanks, a Wildlife Viewing by Air tour takes guests on a scenic 90-minute bush plane flight over wetlands and the Alaska Range looking for moose and sheep.
“Wildlife sightings are guaranteed – a full refund is offered if no wildlife is spotted,†Gray line says.
Also new to the Fairbanks area, is the Evening at the Museum of the North tour.
In Denali, the Stampede Trail ATV Adventure follows the same path taken by American wanderer Chris McCandless, whose last tragic hiking adventure was detailed in the recent movie “Into the Wild.” The self-drive ATV narrated trip includes viewpoints to see Mt. McKinley.
Other new Denali tours include three Denali hiking excursions.
New tours in Anchorage include one-day Fly in Fishing, where guests fly by sea plane to a remote lake or stream to fish for salmon, trout or graylings with an experienced guide.
Other new tours in Anchorage include the Knik River Jet Boat Tour, Redoubt Bay Flightseeing & Bear Viewing, Lake Clark National Park Bear Viewing Tour and Chugach Mountain Explorer Flightseeing.
