Greece confirms rise in UK visitors
Greece saw a 13% jump in the number of UK visitors in the first six months of this year.
In total, 928,000 travelled from the UK to Greece from January to June, according to latest figures from the Bank of Greece.
Travel receipts from the UK market during the same period were up by about 2%.
Next summer, Jet2 will fly to Halkidiki in northern Greece from four regional airports for the first time, while Ryanair will launch new flights from Birmingham to Chania in Crete in April 2017 and Thomson will fly to Chania from Bristol for the first time.
