Green Globe university launched online
Green Globe Certification has launched Green Globe University – a comprehensive online e-learning portal that provides high-quality, web-based training on a global basis.
Green Globe University manages both the training and accreditation of Green Globe Certification auditors. Tutorials are focused on providing a foundation in sustainability issues and practices, a comprehensive understanding of the Green Globe Standard for sustainable operations and management, and guidelines for conducting audits with travel and tourism businesses.
Green Globe Certification CEO, Mr. Guido Bauer, said: “Green Globe University is a dynamic e-learning environment, and the tools are simple to use. It’s a convenient way for professionals to upgrade their skills and become an accredited Green Globe auditor.
“With the growing number of travel and tourism businesses completing certification, we are in need of accredited auditors to carry out on-site inspections in all corners of the world."
Green Globe University delivers the auditor accreditation course as a self-paced online program, with all modules accompanied by progressive testing. Supplementary information is offered on specific industry sectors, e.g., accommodation, administration offices, conference centers, green events, attractions, spas, and cruise ships. Live tutorials and coaching by a Green Globe trainer is also available.
Once accredited auditors have completed the training and receive their graduation certificate, they are introduced to Green Globe partners in their region.
Green Globe University also delivers new training programs to its travel industry professionals who want to improve their understanding of sustainable operation and management. Green Globe sustainability courses deliver a comprehensive overview of the key practices that now underpin the internationally-accepted standards for sustainability.
