Organisation taking on two new assessors
Green Tourism Business Scheme is taking on two new assessors – to deal with an increase in business and as part of plans for expansion / recruitment drive which includes:
- A new marketing plan to include completely new interactive website to be launched by the end of the year
- A social media campaign –
- Activity around planning for next years’ Green Tourism Week –
- Closer working with destinations to offer business support .
Sustainable Tourism Assessors salaries range from £17,000 – £19,000 pa dependant on experience
This post is for someone with an appropriate qualification or experience of auditing against recognised standards.. The role will include a comprehensive training on the internationally recognised GTBS standard.
The job involves planning, booking and communicating with businesses to undertake site assessments and grading reports within a set timescale and to established standards. This is to ensure clarity, credibility and transparency of the process / grading levels and maintain good level of service for businesses. The assessor will be provided with all the equipment needed to carry out assessments and will be required to make all arrangements such as booking public transport and / or hire car and overnight accommodation.
