Greyhound expands priority seating
Greyhound, North America’s largest provider of intercity bus transportation with 2,300 destinations, has expanded its priority seating initiative to more than 30 major cities across the US.
“That will allow more customers priority boarding privileges and the ability to reserve a specific seat on select departures for a nominal fee,” the company says.
The expansion comes just in time for the Christmas holidays, Greyhound’s second-busiest time of the year.
Customers pay a $5 fee at the ticket counter to select a specific seat and board before all non-priority passengers.
A list of all eligible cities and schedules can be found on www.greyhound.com by clicking on the “Priority Seating” banner.
“We continued to see strong customer response since the priority seating concept was first introduced on 12 November, so we wanted to expand to more markets as quickly as possible,” said Dave Leach, president and chief executive officer, Greyhound Lines, Inc.
Reserved seating is sold one way and in select cities on specific schedules. It is only valid on the exact date and schedule for which customers have booked their trip.
