Grosvenor Travel Management switches to Sabre Travel Network
Grosvenor Travel Management has contracted to use the Sabre global distribution system (GDS). It will be using Sabre Travel Network’s latest booking technology which simplifies the booking process by combining traditional GDS screens and codes with drop down menus, graphical icons and the ability to use a mouse instead of a keyboard to enter data. The travel management company will use Sabre Travel Network’s Advanta .Res Internet booking engine to enable online travel booking from its website. It will also use Sabre Travel Network’s Hardware VPN (Virtual Private Network) to connect to the GDS. This will shave hundreds of pounds a month off communication costs and will allow the agency to negotiate with a range of telecommunication providers for the most cost-effective package. Dominic Joyce, Grosvenor Travel Management’s managing director, said: “One of the key drivers behind our move to Sabre Travel Network, apart from customer service, was technology. We’ve already been able to realise significant booking and process efficiencies with the new system.” About Sabre Travel Network Sabre Travel Network, a Sabre Holdings company, provides access to the world’s leading global distribution system (GDS) enabling agents at more than 53,000 agency locations worldwide to be travel experts.
