Grupo Posadas select OpenJaw Technologies to provide core technology platform for new online travel agency – globoGo.com
Irish Minister for International Trade presides over contract signing between OpenJaw Technologies and Grupo Posadas during Trade Mission to Mexico & Brazil.
Dublin, Ireland & Mexico City, Mexico – Thursday, 29th May 2008
OpenJaw Technologies, a leader in delivering high performance travel distribution solutions to the global travel industry, today signed a significant contract with Grupo Posadas, Latin America’s leading travel company, in the presence of the Minister for International Trade, John McGuinness TD during an Irish government Trade Mission to Mexico & Brazil.
OpenJaw Technologies who are headquartered in Dublin, Ireland will supply Grupo Posadas with a new core technology platform to power globoGo.com, a new online travel agency, which will be launched to the Mexican travel market in July 2008. globoGo.com is being funded by Grupo Posadas and a number of other investors including shareholders of Mexicana. The new platform will enable globoGo.com customers to search for flights, hotel accommodation, car hire, events and destination attractions, allowing them to dynamically build travel packages to meet their individual requirements.
Commenting on the announcement, Minister John McGuinness TD, said: “The strategic partnership between OpenJaw Technologies and Grupo Posadas demonstrates the important trade links that exist between Latin America and Ireland. I am therefore happy to be present at this important contract signing which proves that Irish software companies can offer competitive, high quality and technologically advanced solutions to leading companies in this region.â€
