GTA signs InterContinental distribution deal
A global full content distribution agreement has been struck between GTA by Travelport and the InterContinental Hotels Group.
The deal means that GTA’s tour operator and travel agency customers will have access to the world’s largest hotel group by number of rooms.
IHG covers 4,100 hotels and more than 600,000 rooms in nearly 100 countries with brands such as Holiday Inn and Crowne Plaza.
Andrew Rubinacci, IHG’s vice-president distribution marketing – Europe, Middle East and Africa, said: “By expanding our relationship with GTA, we are able to provide all the advantages that IHG’s global hotel portfolio and scale brings to customers through GTA’s vast array of travel trade customers around the globe.
“GTA’s dynamic network allows our brands to reach more customers and helps make our brands the first choice for guests globally.”
GTA chief operating officer Kurt Ekert said: “Our new relationship with IHG reflects our commitment to expanding our offering and ultimately enhancingthe traveller’s experience by offering the widest choice in hotel accommodation, best-rate assurance and the best fit for the traveller without compromising on quality."
