GTMC names new chairman
The GTMC has appointed Paul Allan, chairman of Ian Allan Travel, as its new chairman.
Graham Ramsey, CEO of the ATPI Group, becomes immediate past chairman, Mervyn Williamson, joint managing director of Statesman Travel Group, continues as treasurer, and Anthony Rissbrook, managing director Hillgate Travel, is appointed as officer.
Each will work in an advisory capacity to CEO Paul Wait and will support the strategic direction and positioning of the organisation, which is in its 50th year.
The new board appointments will see the GTMC board extended to 14 people and includes seven new members.
In addition to the four officers, the board members are:

Suzanne Horner – Gray Dawes
Trevor Elswood – Capita Travel

Mick Gibbs – Norad Travel Group.
