Guaranteed airline baggage delivery

Saturday, 03 May, 2005 0

Low-fare Independence Air says its new service is unlike anything ever offered in the US airline industry: guaranteed baggage delivery.

If a checked bag does not arrive at a flyer’s destination, the fare is free, the airline says.

The airline says this is a way to highlight its growing reputation for service.

Since the company began operating exclusively as Independence Air last November, its performance in the US Department of Transportation’s Air Travel Consumer Report rankings has improved significantly.

The airline’s rate for successfully delivering checked bags recently was better than the legacy carriers.

The airline now serves 46 destinations.
