Guest shot after gun fired from adjacent hotel room
A hotel guest is currently in jail after firing off his handgun in a Texas hotel room.
William Frame, 54, of New Braunfels has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after discharging his gun.
A bullet pierced the wall and hit a guest in an adjoining room.
Hays County police officials said a 35-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound to the leg at Outpost Hotel in Dripping Springs, near Austin.
He was taken to hospital but later released.
Frame was later apprehended outside the hotel in possession of the gun.
It is unknown whether Frame deliberately fired the gun or if it discharged accidently.
It is not the first time such an incident has taken place in a hotel room.
A boy was tragically killed after a gun was fired off in an adjoining room at a Comfort Suites Hotel in Raleigh, NC in 2014.
The gun owner was sentenced to 11 years in prison after pleading guilty to involuntary manslaughter.
