Guest sues Vegas hotel over scorpion sting
A California man has sued a Las Vegas hotel, claiming he was stung by a scorpion while sleeping in his hotel room.
Michael Farchi of Agoura Hills filed a lawsuit against The Venetian.
He claimed he was in serious pain after the sting on his testicles.
Several months later he is still suffering medical issues, the lawsuit says.
Farchi and his family were staying at the Venetian’s Palazzo tower during the Christmas holidays.
He says he was stung several times.
“I woke up with sharp pain in my private area. I reached my hand to see what was happening under the covers and got another sharp pain,” he said.
He was treated at a hospital and said he filed a report with the hotel.
The lawsuit is claiming an unspecified amount.
“The resort has protocols for all incidents and we can confirm they were followed in this incident,” the hotel said.
