Gulf Air says farewell.
With Gulf Air services from Australia ending with this evening’s flight to Bahrain, Neil Robertson sent a rather sad and poignant letter to the industry this morning, which is reproduced below.

Dear Friends, Colleagues, Contemporaries, Industry Partners
Well as the saying goes ‘all good things must come to an end’.
Sadly for me that day happens to be today!
Gulf Air’s last flight from Australia will be this evening.
The last flight this evening will be bid farewell by the Gulf Air team [both past & present].
In my time here at Gulf Air I have had the opportunity to work with a group of truly wonderful, warm & talented souls.
This note is to say a sincere ‘thank you’ for the opportunity to have worked with you on various projects.
Should you require any further assistance on matters pertaining to Gulf Air then please contact:

I have a theory that I call ‘Newton’s First Law on Airline People’ which states:
Airline people cannot be made or destroyed but can only be transferred from one airline to another’.
In other words ‘we always pop up somewhere’.
I hope to be able to advise you of my new role in the near future.
Again, many thanks & I look forward to our paths crossing again.
Sincerely
Neil
