HAL says this is crucial for internet access on ships in Alaska sue to weather interference and the landscape.
.”For guests, maintaining the connectivity they are accustomed to at home is an important part of the cruise experience,” said President, Gus Antorcha.
Since receiving the new technology, Koningsdam has sailed an a 18-day cruise roundtrip from Vancouver to Hawaii and now a seven-day Alaska Inside Passage voyage.
“Feedback from guests and team members has been very positive so far,” said Kathleen Erickson, VP of technology for HAL.

Further ships will add the technology later this year.
