Friday, 14 Nov, 2024 0

Holland America Line has launched its 2026 program of Alaska cruisetours, offering land exploration of Denali National Park and Canada’s Yukon Territory.

HAL has unveiled 18 itineraries, including a new 13-day Alaska, Denali and Yukon cruisetour.

Itineraries range from nine to 17 days from May to September.

Every cruisetour will visit Denali National Park and include days at sea aboard Koningsdam, Nieuw Amsterdam, Westerdam or Zaandam.

Guests can personalize the order of their journey with either a cruise or overland first.

They can extend their trip with an itinerary to Canada’s Yukon Territory, including stops in Whitehorse and Dawson City.

Holland America Line has also renamed its lodge, located at the edge of Denali National Park, to Holland America Denali Lodge.

It was formerly known as McKinley Chalet.

Nieuw Amsterdam and Westerdam will operate itineraries ranging from nine to 14 days between Vancouver, Canada, and Anchorage or Fairbanks, Alaska.

All Denali cruisetours include a seven-day Glacier Discovery cruise featuring Glacier Bay and the Alaskan ports of Juneau, Ketchikan and Skagway, plus either College Fjord or Hubbard Glacier and Inside Passage.

The land portion includes up to three nights at the Holland America Denali Lodge.

A 14-day Ultimate Denali tour option includes an overnight at Homer, in addition to time in Fairbanks and Anchorage before or after a seven-day cruise.

All single one-day Classic Alaska & Denali departures include a complimentary Denali Natural History Tour in Denali National Park, and guests can go in search of Alaska’s ‘Big 5’ – bears, moose, Dall sheep, caribou and grey wolves – in their natural habitat.

All two- and three-night itineraries include the Tundra Wilderness tour, where guests journey 43 miles into Denali National Park.

Highlights of Yukon & Denali Cruisetours include:

Itineraries range from nine to 17 days and include either a three- or four-day Inside Passage cruise on Koningsdam or Zaandam, or a seven-day Glacier Discovery cruise on Nieuw Amsterdam or Westerdam.

There is a two- or three-night stay at Denali and Dawson City.

Yukon & Denali cruisetours also feature overnights at Fairbanks, Anchorage and Skagway, depending on the itinerary.

HAL has launched a new 13-day Alaska, Denali and Yukon cruisetour aboard Nieuw Amsterdam or Westerdam.

This journey begins in Fairbanks, after which guests will fly to Dawson City before heading to Denali for three days.

Guests will then travel on Holland America Line’s glass-domed rail cars for a seven-day cruise to Vancouver.

Guests booking this cruisetour get three complimentary tours: Riverboat Discovery in Fairbanks, the Klondike Gold tour in Dawson City, and Tundra Wilderness tour in Denali National Park.

All Yukon and Denali departures now include the Klondike Gold Tour in Dawson City and the Tundra Wilderness Tour at Denali National Park.

Beth Bodensteiner, chief commercial officer for HAL, said: “Guests who embark on one of our cruisetours get the opportunity to combine our award-winning cruise experience with exploration deep into the heart of wilderness.”

Holland America Line has operated itineraries in Alaska for more than 75 years and is the only cruise line to take guests into the heart of the Yukon.
