Hampton raising standards
Hampton says its new prototype under construction in Tampa raises the standard of the upper-mid-market hotel segment.
The Memphis-based Hampton Inn and Hampton Inn & Suites also says the 75-room prototype is creating new structural design elements.
“It’s raising the bar for the mid-market hotel segment,” said Phil Cordell, senior vice president, Hampton brand management.
The prototype has new features that include wider hallways, open-under-counter wood vanities, and walk-in showers. Guest rooms will also be wider and beds will be placed again the bathroom wall, as opposed to the center of the largest wall, to create more living space.
He said all new Hamptons will be modeled on the new hotel.
Hampton brand is part of Hilton Hotels Corporation. Hampton is a chain of 2,200 hotels, resorts and vacation ownership properties.
