Hapag-Lloyd annouces preferred agent
Hapag-Lloyd Cruises has appointed The Cruise Line to operate and manage its direct call centre and marketing function in the UK.
The agency has set up a dedicated free phone number and will maintain and market a specific consumer website for the EUROPA 2.
Hapag-Lloyd Cruises international sales manager Michael Steffl said: "As part of our strategy, we have identified the United Kingdom and Ireland as a priority, international target market.
"To date The Cruise Line has been at the forefront of growing our UK business and are well set-up to represent emerging products and new brands, with a deep understanding of sales and marketing strategy, complemented by a highly knowledgeable sales and marketing department.
"We believe our respective businesses are well aligned to help us secure the future growth we anticipate over the coming years."
The Cruise Line will work alongside Hapag-Lloyd Cruises’ UK-based sales representative Mike Flanagan, who remains the direct contact for UK & Ireland travel agents and operators.
