Happy Christmas and New Year from Holiday Direct
Holiday Direct Travel Group is looking forward to the New Year, advising its agents how they can sustain profits in this difficult period. Although challenging, it will be a time for agents to react and adapt to the changing climate.
Travel is not something that most Britain’s like to do without; however the industry has felt the crunch like any other towards the second half of 2008. Holiday Directs sales directors are advising agents of changing buying patterns in 2009; the dollar is becoming less attractive and the Euro zone is sheer ugly right now for holidaymakers. Countries such as Turkey, Egypt and North Africa will increase their allure to travellers looking for value; whilst those agents adaptive enough to respond to increased inbound tourism will also be able to cash in.
‘Holiday Direct agents will be keeping an eye on increasing domestic travel in 2009, whatever the changes are in the market we will respond quickly and adapt the advertising to suit demand in early 2009’ commented Graham Chuter, Holiday Direct Sales Director.
‘The changing financial climate is something our agents will be responsive to, we will make sure of that!’ summarised Graham.
Holiday Direct’s local agent in Doncaster is a typical group member; ‘I expect to see things like luxury cruise sales a lot lower than they were in the early part of 2008. If walk through trade to my shop slows then Holiday Direct will simply turn up my online advertising and I will keep turnover going that way’
Holiday Directs free membership offer is due to close at the end of December 08.
The Holiday direct team wish everyone a happy Christmas and New Year!
