Hard Rock unveils plans for New Orleans hotel
Hard Rock International will boost its presence in the Big Easy with an 18-story Hard Rock Hotel.
There has been a Hard Rock Café in New Orleans for 20 years, which moved to its current Bourbon Street site in 2013.
The planned hotel will feature 350 hotel rooms and 62 condo units and is in collaboration with local owner Kailas Companies.
It is slated to open in 2019.
Amenities planned include a rooftop bar and lounge, a pool bar and grill and an upscale restaurant serving up ‘authentic Louisiana seafood.’
It will also have Hard Rock signature amenities and programming such as the Rock Shop merchandising and Sound Body wellness experiences.
"As Hard Rock continues to expand globally, our focus will be influential cities with deep musical roots. New Orleans has been a desirable choice for our next Hard Rock Hotel," said Todd Hricko, head of global hotel development for Hard Rock International.
The 62 one, two and three-bedroom condo units will be available for sale starting in the spring of 2018.
"We feel privileged to partner with Hard Rock International to bring this exciting development to the French Quarter. Our goal is to host New Orleans’ great traditions of music and cuisine through fine dining, entertainment, and rooftop venues," said Kailas Companies founder Mohan Kailas.
