Hawaii to end testing for vaccinated mainland travelers
Hawaii will allow vaccinated mainland travelers to skip pre-travel Covid testing. It marks the biggest step yet in fully reopening the state.
It takes effect on 8 July, which is the same date Hawaii is relaxing other curbs. This includes restaurants to move to 75% capacity and allowing social gatherings of 25 people indoors and 75 outdoors.
The easing of protocols comes as Hawaii inches toward its target of 60% of the population being fully vaccinated.
