Hawaiian Air appoints new director for China
Hawaiian Airlines has appointed Liwei Kimura as regional director and chief representative for greater China.
Based out of Beijing, Kimura will manage all Hawaiian Airlines’ commercial and operational functions in the region.
"Liwei brings a wealth of knowledge and experience working within the Chinese market to our international commercial team," Theo Panagiotoulias, Hawaiian’s senior vice president of global sales and alliances.
She has so far gained 20 years’ experience in hospitality and was most recently director of business development for Starwood Hotels & Resorts in Hawaii, leading planning and development for the greater China and Southeast Asia market.
"Under her direction, we look forward to building the awareness of our new Beijing to Honolulu route and strengthening our rapport with this important international market," Panagiotoulias added.
The airline launched a three-times-a-week nonstop Honolulu-Beijing service last year.
