Hawaiian Airlines, JAL deepen partnership with loyalty alliance
Hawaiian Airlines and Japan Airlines have expanded their partnership with the roll out of cross-carrier frequent flyer benefits taking effect next month.
The next phase of the carrier’s proposed business alliance will allow frequent flier members of each airline to enjoy reciprocal benefits.
From October 1, HawaiianMiles members can earn and redeem miles on all international and domestic flights in JAL’s network.
Also, JAL Mileage Bank members earn and can redeem JMB miles on Hawaiian’s interisland and international flights.
"With access to more than 800 daily flights, we’re pleased to offer HawaiianMiles and JAL Mileage Bank members the combined strength of Japan’s and Hawaii’s best route network and frequent flyer programs," said Bryan Kapeckas, Hawaiian’s MD of loyalty and travel products.
The airlines have applied for anti-trust immunity with US and Japanese regulators to develop a comprehensive business alliance on Hawaii-Japan routes.
JAL and Hawaiian began codesharing earlier this year.
