Hawaiian, JetBlue strengthen codeshare partnership
Hawaiian Airlines and JetBlue have expanded their existing codeshare agreement, adding Hawaiian Airlines’ new nonstop flight from Boston to Honolulu.
Hawaiian Airlines begins flying five days a week from Boston on April 4, 2019.
JetBlue’s ‘B6’ flight code will be placed on bookings and JetBlue loyalty members will earn TrueBlue points.
In addition travelers originating from 26 cities that currently cannot connect to Hawaii on JetBlue in New York can already book codeshare tickets with Hawaiian’s ‘HA’ code that connect in Boston.
These markets include Washington, DC, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Baltimore and Cleveland.
JetBlue customers also have access to through ticketing via Honolulu to the Hawaiian islands.
"We are excited to bring the Hawaiian Islands closer to more travelers and welcome our JetBlue guests," said Brent Overbeek, Hawaiian Airlines SVP of revenue management and network planning.
Tracy Bink, JetBlue’s director of alliances and partnerships said: "Now Boston-based travelers, as well as new connecting customers throughout JetBlue’s network, will enjoy the same popular codeshare approach that has been successful in our New York hometown for six years with our Hawaiian Airlines partnership."
At a distance of 5,095 miles, Hawaiian’s Boston-Honolulu route becomes the longest regular scheduled service in the U.S.
