Hays acquires Cruise.co.uk parent company
Hays Travel has just made a ‘compelling addition’ with the acquisition of Victoria Travel Group Limited.
It is the parent of cruise.co.uk and Seascanner.
The price is undisclosed.
“We have been hugely impressed by the strength of the Victoria Travel Group. Their innovative approach to online cruise retailing and the calibre of their management team make Victoria Travel a compelling addition,” said Dame Irene Hays.
Victoria Travel Group CEO Chris Gardner will remain at the helm of the business, alongside other leaders including Carl Tromans, group chief financial officer and Tony Andrews, UK managing director.
Gardner added: “We’re delighted to be joining the Hays Travel family. This partnership opens up exciting opportunities to grow our brands in the UK and internationally.”
Jonathon Woodall-Johnston, COO of Hays Travel, and Jo Rzymowska will join the Victoria Travel Group board.
