Heathrow recovers after cancellations and delays
Heathrow suffered hundreds of delays and cancellations due to weather conditions yesterday.
The airport reported delays to 25% of outgoing flights and 18% of incoming flights, equating to 171 and 128 respectively.
A spokesman said: "Yesterday’s operations were slightly impacted by heavy rains, as well as isolated fog across the UK and Europe."
British Airways was forced to make 18 cancellations and suffered delays to 291 of its flights. The airline said that the cancellations had been ‘pre-arranged’ as ‘it’s better to give customers some sort of guarantee’.
BA said flights were running normal again today.
