Heathrow reveals £2bn loss as traffic reduced to 1970s level

Heathrow made a loss of more than £2bn last year, down from a profit of £546 million in 2019. The airport revealed today that passenger numbers had collapsed 73% to levels not seen since the 1970s and they’re unlikely to pick up any time soon after Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced this week that international leisure travel won’t be allowed to resume before 17 May.
